Dear Sir,
Sub: Implementation of recommendations of VIth CPC - merger of grades – revised classification and mode of filling up of non-gazetted posts - scheme for filling up of vacancies after 31/12/2014-reg.

Ref: Railway Board's letter No. E(NG)I-2008/PM1/15 dated 31/12/2014.
Federation invites attention of the Railway Board to Board's letter dated 31/12/2014 quoted under reference wherein the currency of the instructions relating to methodology and benchmarking for promotion, granted upto 31/12/2015 has since expired. However instructions 'for continuance of revised classification beyond 31st December,2015 are yet to be issued by Railway Board resulting confusion among zonal railways with regard to filling promotion quota vacancies.

NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to issue instructions extending the revised classification covering the period beyond 31/12/2015 immediately. A copy of instructions issued may be endorsed to the Federation.
