On 1-month percentage change, it increased by (+) 0.72 per cent between May, 2017 and June, 2017 when compared with the increase of (+) 0.73 per cent between the same two months a year ago. The maximum upward pressure to the change in current index came from Food group contributing (+) 2.59 percentage points to the total change. 7th CPC- Central Govt Employees feel Cheated on Allowance, Minimum Pay 7th Pay Commission: Central govt employees feel "cheated" on allowance, minimum pay The central government employees will be getting the revised salary as per 7th Pay Commission starting from July-end, but they still feel "cheated". The representatives of central government employees met the government officials to discuss the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission. During the meet, the government employees leaders expressed dissatisfaction on minimum pay which the government set at Rs 18,000 under the revised 7th Pay Commission recommendations, a media report said. As per the revised pay, the government has increased the minimum wage of the central government employees from Rs 7000 per month to Rs 18000 per month. Army officer’s legal notice to Centre over free ration KOLKATA: The Centre's decision to stop free rations to military officers in peace postings has sparked off a legal battle with a senior Army officer sending a notice to the government through defence secretary Sanjay Mitra, seeking a reversal of the order within 60 days. Deputy Judge Advocate-General of Headquarters 12 Corps Col Mukul Dev has threatened to move court after this period if the order is not reversed. A copy of the letter is with TOI.
