Highlights of Recommendations of Seventh Central Pay Commission

Press Information Bureau  Government of India Ministry of Finance 19-November-2015 20:24 IST Highlights of Recommendations of Seventh Central Pay Commission  Recommended Date of implementation: 01.01.2016 Minimum Pay : Based on the Aykroyd formula, the minimum pay in government is recommended to be set at ₹18,000 per month. Maximum Pay: ₹2,25,000 per month for Apex Scale and ₹2,50,000 per month for Cabinet Secretary and others presently at the same pay level. Financial Implications: The total financial impact in the FY 2016-17 is likely to be ₹1,02,100 crore, over the expenditure as per the ‘Business As Usual’ scenario. Of this, the increase in pay would be ₹39,100 crore, increase in allowances would be ₹ 29,300 crore and increase in pension would be ₹33,700 crore. Out of the total financial impact of ₹1,02,100 crore, ₹73,650 crore will be borne by the General Budget and ₹28,450 crore by the Railway Budget. In percentage terms the overall increase

New Delhi: The Seventh Pay commission will give a big boost to 50 lakh serving central government employees and 55 lakh pensioners to submit its final report to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on pay hike. The Seventh Pay Commission will submit its report to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday. The eyes of the central government employees will be firmly glued on the Seventh Pay Commission report, which will be submitted tomorrow at 19:30 hours . “We are ready with the report and will submit it on November 19,” the Seventh Pay Commission’s Chairman Justice A K Mathur told PTI . The Seventh Pay Commission, headed by Justice A K Mathur, was appointed by the previous UPA government in February 2014 for 18 months. Its terms was extended in August 2015 by four months till December 31, 2015. The recommendations of the commission would be implemented from January 1, 2016. Seventh Pay Commission To Submit Report On November 19: Justice A K Mathur

New Delhi: The Seventh Pay Commission will submit its report to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday at 19:30 hours, recommending an increase in remuneration of Central government employees as well as pensioners. “We are ready with the report and will submit it on November 19,” the Commission’s Chairman Justice A K Mathur told PTI. The Commission was set up by the UPA government in February 2014 to revise remuneration of about 48 lakh Central government employees and 55 lakh pensioners. Its recommendations will also have a bearing on the salaries of the State government staff.

The govt has cited the Model Code of Conduct for the Bihar polls as the reason behind the delay New Delhi: The official notification for One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme will be issued before Diwali, defence minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday said. The announcement comes on a day when protesting ex- servicemen decided to step up their protests and return their medals across the country starting 9 November. “As you are aware, it will be issued before Diwali,” Parrikar told reporters in New Delhi in reply to a question when the official notification on OROP will come out. The government had on 5 September announced the OROP scheme for the veterans but an official notification was awaited. ‘Centre has no right to hike salaries of only one section of society while farmers’ incomes continue to be low’ About 60 farmers’ associations in the country have demanded that the Centre put on hold the implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendations till it executes the pre-poll promise of ensuring that farmers get 50 per cent of profits in minimum support prices (MSP) over cost of cultivation.
