OFFICE MEMORANDUM 

Sub: Enhancement of ceiling for calculation of ex-gratia Bonus payable to Gramin Dak Sevaks from Rs. 3500/- to Rs. 7000/- - Reg. 

Please refer to this office's letter of No. 26-01/2015-PAP dated 5.10.2016 relating to payment of Productivity Linked Bonus for the year 2015.16. 

2. The undersigned is directed to convey the approval of the Competent Authority to enhance the ceiling for calculation of ex-gratia Bonus payable to the Gramin Dak Sevaks from Rs.3500/- (Rupees three thousand and five hundred only) per month to Rs. 7000/- (Rupees Seven thousand only) per month from the accounting year 2014-15. 

3. The payment of ex-gratia Bonus on account of enhancement of ceiling for calculation from Rs. 3500/-p.m. to Rs.7000/- p.m. will be chargeable to the Head 'Salaries' under the relevant Sub-Head of account to which allowances of the Staff are debited. The other term and conditions regulating payment of ex gratia bonus remain unaltered. The payment will be met from the sanctioned grant for the year 2016-17. 

4. After payment, the total expenditure incurred and the number of employees for whom ex-gratia bonus paid may be ascertained from all the units by Circles and consolidated figures be intimated to the Budget Section of the Department Posts. The Budget Section will furnish consolidated information to PAP Section about the total amount of bonus paid and the total number of GDS employees to whom it was disbursed for the Department as a whole. 

4. This issues with the concurrence of JS & FA vide their Diary No. 207/FA/2016-CS dated 27.10.2016.
