I am directed to refer to this Department's letter of even number dated 12.1.2016 on the subject cited above and to request Public Sector Banks(PSBs) to intimate the present status/action taken by them so as to conclude the negotiations/next wage settlement by the effective date i.e. 1.11.2017 positively. 

2. This issues with the approval of competent authority.

OPTION - I FOR PRE-2016 PENSIONERS REJECTED: In the meeting held on 30-06-2016, with Group of Ministers by JCM staff side, the Finance Minister had also clarified that Government has taken the decision to implement the recommendation of 7th CPC to bring about parity between past and present pensioners. (Vide NJCA Statement issued on 06-07-2016).
